Our passion for great food with experienced service staff will create an exceptional experience for you and your guests. From corporate continental breakfasts to beach weddings, we create custom menus to please even the most distinguished palate.
We work with the top venue destinations in San Diego, and partner with award winning Photographers, DJs, Floral Designers and Rental Companies to meet your every need.
La Cuisine translates to “the Kitchen” in French. The kitchen is where my story begins. My happiest childhood memories are from our family kitchen, where homework was done while mom cooked dinner. It is where my grandmother taught me to make pies and where my aunt taught me to make spaghetti sauce. It is where I learned that delicious food will bring smiles, laughter & love to a room.
Custom gives me the opportunity to serve your favorite foods at your special event. Although we have a wonderful menu of signature items you can choose from, we LOVE to create custom menus your guests will enjoy.

I had never catered a party before. I always did all the work myself and always missed spending time visiting with my guests. When my daughter graduated from college I vowed that this would not be the case. I called Joy Romey and she created a great Mexican food menu that was perfect for the occasion. She took the time to plan out all the details ahead of time and on party day the staff came early and set everything up beautifully. They monitored, filled, freshened and kept the buffet table looking good from the first guest to the last. When the party was over everything was cleaned up and packed up in a jiffy. I'm completely spoiled now and won't have another important event without calling Joy first.

Amazing Caterer! Top notch! I worked with La Cuisine Custom Catering for several months in advance of the event and the owner, Joy, was an absolute pleasure to work with- so friendly, upbeat, nice, and completely on the ball. I would send an email and get a response very quickly- soooo important to an event planner! They made my life easier and pleasant every step of the way. They also collaborated well with the other vendors, such as the florist and rentals company, which really helped take some of the workload off of me. The tasting was so much fun- food was delicious, and the experience was great. The guests loved the food and we are very thankful we went with La Cuisine Custom Catering. Thanks again, Joy!

La Cuisine is the only catering service I will use from now on. Weddings, corporate, etc. The customer service and food is unbeatable. I don't want the same catering for every party... I want options. Joy knows how to work the room and deliver customized catering every time while make the event an absolute "Joy". You wont regret hiring La Cuisine!

I had a Open House for appx. 40 people. Joy and her staff were amazing .

If we could give them 6 stars, we would! La Cuisine was amazing, the food was just incredible (priority #1) and the service was outstanding. Joy, the owner, was just that - a JOY to work with. She was very communicative and handled every little change we threw at her with grace and style. We are so thankful for Joy and La Cuisine Custom Catering and look forward to working with her again!
