Introduction: Create a unique, unforgettable wedding by including a harpist! I promise to guide and support you through your wedding music planning process and to deliver the best performance for your guests on the big day. I play all of the traditional wedding repertoire such as Canon in D and Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring, but also take more popular requests – I recently played a solo harp version of “Africa” by Toto as a recessional! Other popular music selections I regularly play for weddings include “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri and “Marry You” by Bruno Mars. My wedding ceremony prices range from $350-500 with the most popular package being $350. My $350 package includes 30 minutes of prelude music, 1-2 processionals, a recessional, and 15 minutes of postlude music. Please give me a call or contact me online to discuss your ceremony desires and get a more accurate quote. For background music (often receptions and events) I charge $250 for the first hour and $150 for each subsequent hour. I offer a $50 discount if you book me for both your ceremony and reception (at the same location). I love to play a laid-back mix of jazz and light classical music with some popular tunes sprinkled in. I now work with San Diego flutist and vocalist Catherine Marshall. We are available for weddings starting at $550, Catholic weddings (with full mass parts) starting at $600, and events starting at $400. I was in the beginner level when having Sophie as my piano teacher. I enjoyed taking classes with her. Sophie not only corrected my basic skills but also taught me how to feel the music and play it beautifully. She had high standard but was able to help me meet the standard in a pleasant way. After she moved away, I interviewed several piano teachers but none of them was as good as her. In comparison, I realized how lucky I was to have her as my piano teacher. I’d recommend anyone (I am an adult but she has such nice personality that she should be good with kids as well) to work with Sophie. She is a talented musician, knows how to teach, reliable, responsible, patient, pleasant, and punctual.

Miss Graf is a wonderful and compassionate harp teacher. She taught my 11-year-old daughter with great patience and abundant knowledge of music and the instrument itself. She was very organized, professional and took extra time out of her busy schedule to help my daughter in the youth orchestra when she could. I have also heard her perform in many occasions and am always impressed with the skills and quality she showed in all the music she played.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started playing the piano like many other children, in second grade because my parents wanted me to. I did enjoy it, but when I started to see the harp in real life I knew that I had to play that beautiful instrument. So, after a little bit of coaxing, my parents bought me a small harp and my harp journey began! I continued playing the piano through eighth grade, then picked it back up again as a piano minor in college, alongside my harp major. I even had the opportunity to take a course in piano pedagogy during my master's degree to further develop my teaching abilities in piano, which also transfers into my harp teaching.
