About this pro
As a business owner it is imperative that I contact and utilize the services of other professionals to help me with the areas that I lack in. I got on Thumbtack last week for the first time and contacted photographer Patrick Sanford. Patrick was able to see me within two days of our initial conversation and I was very pleased with his quick response and ability to squeeze me into his schedule. I have a personal training studio and was in need of some high quality fitness photos. WOW. I was blown away by the quality and look of the photos and the editing job was done in less than 24 hours. He met me and gave a thumb drive with over 200 edited professional images. I am very grateful for his expertise and willingness to meet my needs as promptly as he did. I highly recommend Patrick as a photographer. Professional, great eye and super cool. I will be doing more work with him in the future!Jun 7, 2018Verified
Excellent photographer, very talented in terms of poses, colors, scenes. He works with the couple to really aim for the vision they want with the shots and seeks to get the perfect shot, which he did! My husband and I are extremely happy with the pictures, they are just beautiful and the experience was fun! Would definitely recommend Patrick!Feb 5, 2018Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My typical hourly rate is $125.00 an hour with a 2 hour min, but I do have some flexibility if there are budget constraints. I typically charge just for the photoshoot time and not the time associated with editing the shots. I want to make sure my clients walk away happy with the experience, and exceed their expectations in regards to value.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? With a new customer I try and get a dialogue going right away. Although I have my own style, I ask them to send me pics or ideas of the type of photography they like or types of poses. If necessary, I am happy to jump on call to discuss what they are looking for in more detail from a location standpoint, time of day, natural light versus flash photography etc. At the shoot itself, I will walk them through the shoot, and above all I encourage them to just be themselves and have fun, and only pose in what feels natural. After the shoot, I typically will send them one image treated a couple of different ways from an editing standpoint, make sure they are happy and the apply that treatment to all the shots from the shoot.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I was a painting major and photography minor at San Diego State University and have been shooting for about 35 years.
