FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is very straightforward - we charge a flat hourly fee with a minimum of 5 hours to take on a project. Unlike most designers we don't charge for time we're not working by doing a lump project fee, and we don't mark up product we specify. In fact, unlike most designers we give you access to our trade discounts (between 10 - 25% on everything from tile to furniture). This can even sometimes amount to savings that pay for our services.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first step of starting your project would be to hop on a phone call to discuss the scope of work, as well as your desired timeline and vision for the space(s). After getting to know a little about everything, we set up a time to come to the space and meet for an initial consultation. At this consultation we take photos and measurements, discuss more in-depth about what you're looking for, and sign our contract. Then we take some time to put together a Design Concept, which is a PDF deck broken down by room, that includes everything from inspiration photos and renderings to suggested design options. We email this to you so you can have some time to sit with it, then schedule either a phone call or another in-person meeting to discuss what you like and what you'd like to see more of. We make any necessary additions or revisions until you're thrilled with the spaces, at which point we email you a sourcing list with links to purchase everything discussed, as well as a spreadsheet with our logins and discounts to any vendors that we've sourced from that offer them so you can save on your purchases! Then, we set up a day to help you install and stage everything so we can show you how to style it. We also photograph your space so you can have beautiful images of how it came together!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
