Both of my children (11 and 12 years old) took the audition preparation class at Stage Business with Michael Berry! This class focused on two specific auditions and consisted of four, two-hour sessions. Not only did they work on their audition pieces and receive invaluable feedback, but they were taught how to search for age appropriate material and were given online sources to use for scripts. What we found the most helpful and special about Stage Business is that there is an intense focus on decoding and analyzing text. So, not only were my children learning how to present the information that they were working on at their upcoming auditions, but they also learned how to attack every script and performance in the future. Michael Berry is worth his weight in solid gold. The knowledge that he is willing to share with actors from a directors perspective is inspiring and confidence boosting. We look forward to working with Stage Business for a long time to come!

Recent accomplishments include: 2016 Tony Award Nominee, Theatre Educator of the Year 2016 Northeast Regional Educator Hall of Fame Inductee 2016 Director: School of Rock West Coast Premier ~ Curran Theatre 2015 Theatre Bay Area Legacy Award Winner 2014 National Teaching Artist Fellowship Award Winner Notable Alumni of my training: Disney's Zendaya, Comedian Bo Burnham Student graduating from our programs have attended top universities including: NYU, Carnegie Mellon, Juiliard, USC, UCLA, Stella Adler, PACE, North Carolina School for the Arts, Columbia, Columbia Chicago, The American Academy of Dramatic Arts and The Guildhall School of Speech and Drama/London.
