- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Through an initial phone or email consultation I assess the client's needs: what type of event are they organizing, what type of magic performance do they have in mind, what kind of audience will be attending, what's the venue, what other entertainment is going to be there if any, etc. Then, based on my experience, I may suggest slight tweaks if they improve the guests' experience. I am communicative and flexible.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been studying and practicing sleight of hand magic for over ten years. However, I have a background in Neuroscience and the study of perception and attention from an academic perspective, so I bring that knowledge and lens to my performance.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with private clients looking to entertain guests at a birthday or cocktail party, with big event organizers who needed to inject their corporate event with a touch of amazement, and with cultural organizations that wanted a combination of entertainment and science. I've worked at the Exploratorium's After Dark events, Cal Academy's NightLife, NerdNite, Wonderfest, and more!
