FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I generally give quotes by the amount of time required to fix the problem, as well as bill for spare parts and extra costs additionally.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will first solicit information about your specific problem or issue by phone or by email. If I am able to diagnose your problem without physically inspecting your hardware, I will give you a rough time estimate as well as costs for replacement parts (if applicable). I will then make an appointment to visit you and perform the fix. If necessary, I am willing to meet several times.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an electrical engineer by training and have been hacking and tinkering with laptops and electronics for many years now, so I've accumulated significant knowledge about current hardware and software as well as general electronics knowledge.
