About this pro
Extremely amiable and experienced, lovely to work withJul 15, 2018Verified
Aanchal was a terrific SAT tutor. She helped me identify problem types I was struggling with, and worked with me to develop strategies to tackle these. She had me feeling comfortable for the SAT on the day, which was great! Aanchal also gave me advice throughout the daunting college admissions process, which was a huge help. Very grateful!May 29, 2018
Aanchal really helped me improve my scores on all three sections so that I hit my goal. She was really patient and made the experience fun instead of tedious so I would definitely recommend herMay 27, 2018
Aanchal was a great SAT tutor and I had a really great experience working with her! She created a customized study plan that helped me reach my target score and then coached me through the college admissions process, which helped me get accepted to Cornell University.May 27, 2018
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My standard rate is $75 per hour for SAT tutoring and college admissions coaching. I can help students with a variety of services including studying for the SAT I and SAT II subject tests, choosing colleges to apply to, editing college application essays, and reviewing Common App or resume submissions.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? When working with a new customer, I typically like to meet with the student to get to know them and gain a better understanding of their learning style as well as what they're looking for in an SAT tutor. Next steps would involve taking a diagnostic test to understand where the student's strength and weakness areas lie and using this information to create a custom study plan that will reach the student's goals before their intended test date.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?I would encourage students to think about the specific goals they have, as well as the timeframe in which they hope to achieve these goals. This is extremely helpful for the tutor when it comes to creating a successful study plan and timeline that will work for the student. It's also important to choose a tutor who's had relevant, recent experience with the SAT and is close to the college admissions process, thereby making it easier to understand and connect with the student.
