Introduction: Hello! My name is Jenny and I am a Yoga Instructor and manager at Pure Yoga in New York. While I currently teach group classes, my favorite yoga to teach is private instruction. I love working with people one on one to develop a deeper practice and work on posture breakdowns/ modifications. I have over 400 hours of yoga training and can come to you! Jenny is the best yoga instructor...ever! I've had many private lessons with Jenny and she has not only up'd my yoga game but also my confidence to move through poses correctly so I can really focus on my breath and mindfulness practice. She has helped me work on several poses that I've always wanted to be able to do but thought I'd never get there (e.g., headstand). She gave me several pro yoga tips and I was doing them in a matter of literally ONE session. She also understands that yoga is not cookie cutter. She adapts poses and tailors lessons to your unique needs. For example, I was trying to do Plow pose in a class but I could never do it because my boobs chock me. So I brought this pose to her and she helped me learn how to do the pose safely with props so I didn't have to sit the pose out completely during class. After a private lesson I feel energized and re-inspired to continue yoga. Often in privates with other people or classes you can sometimes feel bored or like you didn't really gain anything. That has never been the case with Jenny's privates. I always leave wanting to explore yoga in new ways and feel excited for my next private with her. Honestly, Jenny has a very sweet energy, is talented in yoga fundamentals and advanced yoga concepts, and is a lot of fun. You will not be disappointed with a session from Jenny! You should definitely book!

Jenny is an absolutely incredible instructor with a wide breadth of knowledge. If you're just getting started or have an advanced practice she is able to meet you where your practice is at. I highly recommend Jenny when looking for an instructor. Such a beam of light!

Jenny is the best yoga teacher I’ve had the pleasure of working with. She truly is passionate about her practice and it shows. I started my yoga journey with her many years ago, learning the foundations that have carried me through my yoga practice. She is not only knowledgeable, but patient and makes learning the basics fun. As I have evolved my practice, Jenny has evolved her teaching to meet my needs. She can guide me through a deep, grounding flow just as well as she can give me a tough workout depending on my mood. Her ability to challenge me physically, as well as mentally and emotionally, never cease to amaze me. Truly a one-of-a-kind teacher!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is always negotiable! I enjoy teaching and if you want to learn and safely advance your practice, I am happy to work with you to make that possible:)
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to first have a consultation to discuss goals, injuries, yoga background, etc. This way we can direct the Private lessons in the way that is most beneficial to you! This could mean a deeper meditation practice, an hour of alignment and foundational postures, strengthening exercises and drills, stretching techniques, etc. This also allows me to better prepare if you are working with any injuries or need modifications.
