About this pro
Andrew was thorough and prompt. He recommended and installed ceiling speakers; fixed a bunch of patch holes that a previous contractor neglected to patch; recommended and acquired paints and materials. When a job was out of his comfortable skill set he let us know. As an aside, he looks a little older then his profile picture, which was a little offsetting at first. That said with age comes experience, and he has a wealth of skills and the right attitude. I would definitely recommend working with him again, and will be running future projects by him as well.Aug 1, 2018Verified
Andrew is the REAL DEAL, folks. Partnering with him to build a custom loft was so much more fun and fulfilling than I’d anticipated. I was putting out feelers looking for someone to construct (in my mind) a pretty simple thing... yet he seems to understand his job is more than building “things”. He’s helping you build your home – and he wants it to be a reflection of who you are. Throughout the process, Andrew was collaborative, thoughtful, thorough, curious, and fun. Money well spent.Jun 7, 2018VerifiedAndrew M.'s reply

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I like to charge a fair price (whether hourly or a fixed price) because I want my customers to feel like they're getting great value. I also work really hard to minimize materials costs by coming up with simple, elegant, but sturdy solutions.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I focus on a few simple questions: 1) what are you trying to achieve? For example, in a recent painting project, it was clear the goal wasn't just to paint a room, but to teach a couple how paint neatly and work on home improvement projects together. 2) what can you expect? Especially with handyman work, lots of things can happen. For example, changing a lighting fixture takes about 30 minutes but often in older houses, the wiring needs some work. I want to make sure my customers are never surprised.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work? It's all on the job training with professionals.
