After a water heater leak in my hallway damaged the two adjoining bedrooms, Mercury Insurance recommended ServPro. The bedroom floors were left with nails sticking up from the tax strips where the carpet was pulled up and uncut, water stained drywall was left in place. A couple of days later, after ServPro picked up their remaining fans, I contacted Iconik for a repair estimate and learned the drying wasn't complete, afterall. My hallway tiles were popping up (still 99% saturated) and moisture still existed in the bedroom and hallway closets and walls. When Johnny and his crew took over, they were professional, thorough, and neat. My husband noticed the difference in service right away. The affected area was sealed off neatly and the drying fans were thoughtfully placed. Our house was still functional after the crew left, unlike after ServPro set up. They left dryers in the middle of the hallway floor, ackwardly placed in the bedrooms, and the hallway was blocked off. My husband and I had to use the backyard patio as a throughway for 3 days. My 10 year old had to sleep on the couch and use our bathroom by entering from the backyard patio. Not to mention, it's winter time. I am only giving 4 out of 5 stars because it took longer than expected to send the estimate and list of repairs to my insurance company and I have been waiting over a week for their contractors to get back to me for an estimate. My house has been upside down for 20 days now, right in the middle of the holiday season...carpet and tile missing, holes in the walls, bedroom doors off the hinges, and non-functioning closets in both bedrooms! Updated: After Johnny got the job, he said his office would send the report to my insurance company. After a few days and several unreturned calls, my insu learned Johnny was no longer with their company.
