Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Since 1999 we've provided animation that entertains, illuminates, explains. Illusive Reality's clients have included NASA, The National Science foundation as well as local inventors and even Dental surgeons and Plumbers, illustrating everything from Space Shuttle experiments to root canals and trenchless plumbing repairs. The satisfaction comes when a client is amazed with the final project. Showing cutting edge science and design, like MEMS and nanotechnology, or animating a character in a short film, makes animation anything but routine, and good problem solving a necessity. But that's all part of the fun.

John was patient, listened well, took enough time to understand what it was that I was after and was able to execute what was a rather complex set requirements quickly and cleanly. The visuals were excellent and he was able to elaborate further on what my vision was. This fact is an example of how well he understood what my needs were and how he was able to add value. I thought his pricing was very fair (although this was the only experience needing this type of service). What I asked John to render was a large 8' x 8' x 4' square of laminated 1/4" sheets that had areas within the individual sheets water blasted out in order to create a visual of a building floating within at an obtuse angle.

John Tupper has been the animator for three of my videos and I hope he'll be available for my next one. John's creative talent and his understanding of science make him invaluable to my semiconductor and technology productions. His easy going personality make him a pleasure to work with.

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

How it works: 1. We define the project: So you have an idea for something that would best be shown through the magic of animation. Whether it’s a cute character for a marketing video or film, a new invention or process that will revolutionize an industry, a medical or dental procedure, a beautiful interior design or awesome work of architecture, or even how to repair or replace plumbing with minimal destruction, the first step is to define the project together. So that we, i.e. you with the great idea, and us the animators, are on the same page. This part can include conversations, sketches, concept outlines, reference info and images and a script and storyboard, if needed. 2. Provide the estimate: Once we both understand what is needed a detailed estimate can be prepared based on what needs to be designed, created, animated and edited for a final completed project. With an agreed upon estimate we can proceed. 3. Production: This is the “getting down to work,” part which can take hours or weeks depending on the project. 4. Completion: The goal is an awesome project that meets your needs.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

What kind/style of animation is needed? Is it photo-realistic or cartooney? What is the purpose and audience for the animation? Where will it play, on the web, or big-screen IMAX? How long do you want the animation to be? What budget do you have in mind for the project? In what time frame should/must it be completed?
