I hired this guy Arash for my new ceiling light project because he responded to my project and came to inspect my home. Once hired he opened everything, he said it will take more money to complete the same work because of wiring issues and I agreed to pay him more. That day he worked in the attic attached 3 lights and did not complete the wiring for the light switches and said he has to go because of the mothers day but will only take him 10 minutes to come back and do the wiring for light switches as he also needs to buy new double pole light switches. He left the house in mess with fiberglass everywhere and all sheetrock residue, wires & screws on the floor. He told me the work is almost done and he needs money for Mother’s Day and also talked about his fathers health issues and he promised to come that night to finish the job. So I paid him full amount in check. He encased the check next day but never came back. What frustrates me is that he was complete BS. None of the lights has correct wiring and for 2 out of 3 lights not even wired from attic. I came to know once I went up in attic to check the wiring on my own. I am now thinking he got this job way above what he can do. I redid the wiring for two rooms on my own without any double pole switch.
This was my first & last hire on thumbtack. Because I told all of these to Thumbtack twice now and they were going to get back to me but it’s been more than a week and no response or any sort of communication from them. Horrible company.
