Introduction: I offer extensive experience in creating dream spaces for my clients. Transform your home or business with interior design, color, or Feng Shui design. I work with wonderful clients up and down the West Coast. Always happy to discuss your ideas and plans to see if we're a good fit. No project is too small or too large. In addition to helping clients with their interior design projects, I wrote "Sell Your Home Without Losing Your Zen," an essential handbook for preparing your home for sale and appealing to home buyers, I'm also a lifestyle/design writer for major publications and websites. I love meeting new clients and creating a custom plan to bring their decorating vision to life while making their home more functional and livable. Though Thumbtack indicates on my profile that I can't take new clients, that's not true. I can be found easily online. Most clients don't realize that they have wonderful decorating instincts already -- I can help anyone create the space of their dreams. I also work with real estate pros and homeowners on pre-sale makeovers. I love getting inside the buyer's mind so that I can create a space that they'll fall in love with, through strategic updates and a design plan that runs through the entire home.

I first met Diana in the fall of 2016, when she was finishing up a flawless remodel of my mother's home in Gig Harbor, WA. My husband and I were living in Oakland, CA at the time, and had just purchased our first house in Tacoma, WA, which was in need of some extra love before moving in. We began working on the house with Diana while we were still living in Oakland. The thought of working on a house from out of state is intimidating, but Diana's professionalism, timely communication, and care to our project was impeccable. I met with her several times over the spring of 2017, as well as over email, to collaborate on ideas for interior color, lighting and sprucing up an outdated kitchen. She helped me decide on interior colors and had ideas that gave new life to our kitchen, as well as projects in the future. Our previously dark kitchen is now our favorite room, with repainted cabinets, new lighting, and a reclaimed wood ceiling. Above all, I valued feeling like our home was in the hands of friends through out the process. I highly recommend working with Diana and her team!

I have worked with Diana several years now, and I am completely impressed. She not only has a great personality, always positive, but she also has a strong work ethic. She is not afraid to get her hands dirty and I find her hauling and driving and working late hours to finish the project. She has a strong sense of scale and balance in design, and a good understanding of textiles and case goods in terms of form and function. She has gone beyond the scope of the job to take care of issues, find new resources that work better for the project without fail. Diana has boundless energy and I will continue to ask for her assistance in design work, fabric and furniture purchases, color consultation and space planning. Her taste level is excellent and she keeps budget and personal style requests at top of mind. I employ many contractors and subcontractors in my business and Diana is at the top of my list!

I hired Diana to help me pick out paint and carpet for my new house. She did an outstanding job! She was so professional and so thorough! She came out for a consultation visit with a book of paint colors which we narrowed down to a few. Then after I had put some samples on the wall, she came back to see them in the light, and we then picked the right ones. She nailed it!! She also was so helpful in picking carpet - which can be so frustrating. I would recommend her to anyone, and have already given her name to several of my friends! She is great ! You will love her!!!

Wonderful experience. I have lived with this design dilemma for nearly 10 years, a long narrow living room that was not comfortable or inviting. I have tried a hundred different furniture arrangements and painted many times, nothing ever felt comfortable. After two visits from Diana I now have a living room I love and really enjoy being in. So worth the money. She listened, gave great suggestions, and reasons why things work and don't work. We used a lot of the items I already had, and the paint colors are perfect. Fantastic.

There are a few different pricing systems for clients. Depending upon my client's needs, work may be billed hourly, as a package, or by the sq. ft. We can come up with the best and most cost-efficient method for your project.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our first step in working together is talking about your ideas and goals for your space. We can go over photos or links you might have, and we'll come up with a plan.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've earned a diploma in both interior design and Feng Shui decorating.
