I found Chris when I was given one of his fliers by a friend who raved about his work. I only deal with licensed contractors, since I've been burned before and there's little recourse when they disappear or change their phone#, plus eventually I have a lot of work I want to get done and I want it all legit in case I need permits,etc... And licenses tell me a person has made the effort to put his time in, learn a trade, and become licensed. It's cost me more money to fix things that have been done sub-par over the years. The paint on my house trim was peeling and I could see the wood was becoming damaged in some areas, which means more money to fix rotted wood, so I was anxious to get the exterior paint done. I shopped around. Chris gave me a fair estimate, plus he was confident in his work and I saw the results at my neighbor's house. I loved that he was very respectful of my house, my yard, clean up, and his work was so clean! He gave me a head's up that some of the wood may be more damaged once he sanded the old paint. He showed me the damaged wood and gave me the option to fix it or not, which of course needed to be done. He replaced some old window sills and window frames. You can't even tell which ones he replaced! Everything matches the other windows! I couldn't be more pleased. After a few weeks I saved some money and was still so excited about the outside of my house finally getting done right that I decided to get some work done in the bathroom. My house is 90 yrs old, the interior walls have plaster not drywall, which many guys don't want to touch, but Chris said "No problem!" it's one of his specialities. He explained what's involved, wrote an estimate, and now I've got one bathroom done and it looks AWESOME! My husband is impressed. We're going to have a dinner party with friends to celebrate. Chris is a solid guy with good old fashioned work ethic. We have only great things to say about his work! After the new year we're going to save money and have a deck built so my husband can barbecue outdoors. Thumbs up times a hundred!

I initially hired DuraCon about a year ago to move some interior walls and build some closets in the house I had just purchased. I later also hired DuraCon to paint the interior of my house. DuraCon got the work done on a tight deadline and was able to coordinate schedules with the company installing hardwood floors in the house. The owner of DuraCon, Chris Farkas, was easy to work with and actively involved in the work being done at my house. I recently had DuraCon build replacement stairs on my front landing. I plan to use DuraCon again for future projects. I highly recommend Chris Farkas and DuraCon.

Chris has been my contractor for years, ALWAYS exceptional work, clean, caring and impeccable craftsmanship.......nothing he can't do. If it's not right, he will back his work 110%......though he has never had it "not right". HIGHLY RECOMMEND
