I've had Joel out several times over the past few years as I've slooowly rehab'ed my home. I feel so lucky to have found him! He is just fabulous! Showed up when he said he would (morning of the next day!). Did an excellent job. I had water damage and moldy drywall, Joel cut all that drywall out and replaced it. Looks brand new.

Joel has a great balance of being very professional and personable. He listened to my wants and concerns and addressed them reassuringly. Joel and his work partner were efficient at their craft, made sure to cover and protect the floors and items in the rooms, and cleaned up all areas nicely. After the work was completed, he made sure to explain all what was done and even touched up some extra small areas he noticed while working. I highly recommend Joel.

Quality: The finish they did was great! Matched other rooms very well. Getting a good texture match was important to me. Professionalism: Team was polite and courteous. Responsiveness: Joel always responded via Thumbtack quickly. I always knew the status of the work and when he thought they would be finished. Value: His bid was not the cheapest nor the most expensive. I find you get what you pay for -- and for the quality of work, what he bid was very reasonable. Punctuality: In general, very punctual. Our first day the team was a little late (got hung up at the supply store), but they hustled over as fast as they could. Otherwise, they finished when I expected they would. Other remarks: Popcorn removal is a messy process -- this case was no exception. While they did an admirable job covering the floors, and trying to minimize the impact, dust still got everywhere - even in parts of the house where they weren't working. There was also texture splatter here and there, but they cleaned it up without complaint. Expect that this process will require you paint your walls in the rooms where it is done. The ceiling will look so much nicer it will make your walls look awful. If you plan to paint your walls, wait and do popcorn removal first. :D They also were game to take on a little extra item here and there (we negotiated $$ as we went). Saved me from having to hire separate contractors later -- so that was a bonus. Having worked with a lot of sub-contractors and home improvement projects, the work was done very well. The dust / mess I can clean-up (and frankly, it was expected). Solid A overall.

I started out as a helper when I was a teenager during the summertime. After graduating, I began working full time and eventually branched out on my own.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
A homeowner added popcorn texture removal to their project list while replacing flooring in the main bedroom. Short on time, they contacted me to do the ceiling work and I was able come out the next day to complete the project in one work day. The homeowners were excited to move back into their room after the work was completed.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Compare pricing and make sure you feel comfortable with the contractor before you decide to hire.
