I hired Optimus for a new A/C install on one of my rental units, after receiving a total of 5 quotes. I will admit, I was a bit nervous about using him because he was not based out of Tucson, rather just outside of Phoenix, but that concern was quickly set aside when I met him during his evaluation of my property. Chris was not only the best price of all my quotes, he proved to be the most responsive, consistent and informative of all the companies I interviewed. I could tell Chris was a good diagnostician and had the ability to think out of the box offering reliable and reasonable solutions to the specific needs of my property. As a business owner, my expectations of any company I hire is that they respond to my calls within a reasonable amount of time, he exceeded that expectation. If I had a question, he answered it, if I had a concern, he addressed it and addressed it quickly. Chris had to make an adjustment to the ducting on my rental unit, the Price he quoted never changed, even though he had to travel back for the changes. I was so impressed with his workmanship, work ethic, professionalism, fair and Honest pricing I decided to add a second A/c unit on the other side of the duplex and then had him come to my home to look at my squeaky, ready to fall apart swap cooler. Once I received his quote, I decided to install my 1st personal AC unit with an AC condenser on the roof and a new Gas Furnace inside along with a fancy thermostat that I can control from work, I am very pleased with this set up. I have entered into additional contract work with Chris and hired him to do maintenance work on a couple of other rentals that I own with older A/c units; clean the coils and assist with problematic water damage due to clogged tubing to include an emergency roof patch. I have referred Chris to several of my friends, they were so happy with his work, they referred him to several of their friends. Optimus Mechanical (Chris and his team) recently replaced two 3 ton split system A/Cs at my home with two new 3 ton 14 SEER split system A/C - Heart Pumps. Chris came to our house the same day I called, inspected the job site to make sure his quote for removal and installation of both systems would include everything needed to complete the job with no surprises and a guarantee that there would be NO Extra Cost. He volunteered a lot of information and answered all my questions. He's BIG on Quality, Value, doing things the right way to optimize system performance and Customer Satisfaction. The quote/proposal that Chris delivered the next day was very competitive. Four of the six estimates/quotes I received from others were several thousand $$ higher. Chris and I discussed and agreed on a two day work schedule. Each day they started and finished on time. Always cleaning up before leaving. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is based on an hourly rate according to skill level. I do not mark up the parts or equipment prices I charge you for the part that was my cost and then my labor. My prices are typically 30 to 50 percent less than the big guys. ie...1/4 HP motor installed is typically around 280.00. Service charge for east valley is 45 and anything West of Tempe PHX border is 60. I've worked from Tucson all the way up to Page so no place is too far! Service prices outside of the valley are subject to job. example of new system pricing. My business model is to not mark up the price of the units. You pay my price for the systems or products and all I do is charge labor for example, I charge 1000 labor for package units and 1200 to 1600 labor for split systems. New split heat pump 14 seer 2 ton 3700. 3 ton 3900. 4 ton 4100. 5 ton 4300. 16 seer prices are about 1900 bucks more my cost so that's all you'll pay. Package unit heat pumps 14 seer 2 ton 3500. 3 ton 3700. 4 ton 3900. 5 ton 4100.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process is to contact via phone call, set time to come look at job if giving a new system quote or to come diagnose an issue with a system not working.

Graduated from UTI in 2001 with Deans honors, Been through different manufactures programs and training including Trans, Carrier, Goodman, Lennox, Mitsubishi, and LG, certified Electronic Technician, Leadership training, 2 associates degrees, NATE certified. NEST Pro installer.
