What a horrible experience. We saved for years for a remodel. Met Bob and thought we had the right guy! Boy did we get this one wrong. Bob quit communicating with us about a week before the job was to be done. Nothing completed, not even demo. We hired him to do a FULL Bathroom, FULL Kitchen remodel and to drywall a back room. He hired a project manager who came in and did his best to make up for what had already been done wrong. He gave us a new finish date. Still was 2 weeks past new date and I had to call them everyday to see if they were coming or not. Each step of the way was a nightmare. We had to walk thru everyday and point out things (obvious things) and make them fix them. From trying to put a bathtub on a rotted floor to simple painting jobs. I would say go somewhere else. If you do choose to hire Bob make sure you have every little detail in writing. We had to pay for several things that he had agreed to include in the bid. Workers came and went as they pleased. Did not show for days at a time. Left parts of floor and wall with nails poking through for almost a week. Mind you we have a dog and 2 year old that was having to walk through this. The whole project that was scheduled for 5 weeks ended up taking 3 months. Still never got quality work. Still things we have to have them come back and fix. We did our homework, we thought. After we hired found reviews reflecting his true business practices all over the internet. Like never calling again. Poor quality work and just plain dis honest. Pick someone else, you will thank us who have tried to warn you through reviews. The MOST Financially, Physically and Mentally Exhausting 3 months of our lives. Bob redid my deck. I had an eyesore out front, and I needed to turn it into an area that was both functional as a hangout and that we could park under. Every other contractor wanted to rip it down, and was twice the price. My home inspector told me it was functional but ugly, but only Bob saw the same potential I saw. He strategized with me about replacing the railing, what color of stain would tie everything together, and how to use the existing wood to save a ton of money. We had some problems come up during construction, and I was most impressed with how well Bob handled those changes. One of the areas was more torn up than we had thought, and required some additional support. Bob came up with a very low cost solution of placing a new floor over the existing area, which saved me a ton over having to rebuild the deck. Bob handled the problem really well, walking me through exactly what was wrong and how he planned on fixing it. He ran into an issue with the original construction being rather flimsy, and he managed to reinforce it in a way that actually made it look better than the original. All of these changes ate into his timeline. Rather than pushing it out a month like a normal contractor, Bob and his crew worked (I kid you not, I was home) an 11 hour day to get everything done on time. An 11 hour day, in construction! It came out better than I could have imagined! It is watertight, exactly the rustic look I wanted, and sturdy as can be. The colors coordinate beautifully, and I'm so happy with the new look of my deck. It's everything I wanted and more. My neighbors were so impressed, two of them immediately got quotes from him. I can't say enough good things about Bob and Chris! They didn't cut any corners but still worked quickly to get everything done. I got daily updates from Bob which was extremely nice. Your project may require less prep work or may be partially completed before we are called in to complete your project. Therefore there is no standard set price.
