FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My background and expertise are in retail, marketing, strategy, analytics, statistical testing, finance, and international business. All together I have just under 19 years of professional business experience that I can draw from to help you take your business to the next level. I grew up in the retail jewelry industry helping to run our family's business and gained valuable business acumen at a very young age due to the opportunities that were provided me in my more than 10 years of experience in that business. I have a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Brigham Young University where I emphasized my studies in marketing and strategy. During my graduate studies and in addition to my classes, I was able to gain valuable experience in both marketing and strategy as I worked as an International Marketing Consultant for Deseret Book and an International Strategy Intern at Lands' End. Most recently I helped Overstock.com develop their pricing strategy as they expanded their business into the Chinese market.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have worked in analytics for over 10 years and prior to that I worked for over 10 years in the jewelry industry. I recently had a friend refer someone to me that was looking for analytics work for his jeweler clients and so I began providing analytics consulting for his company. Because small business owners rarely have access to full-time analysts and strategists, I felt that I could provide those skills and expertise in a customized way as a consultant to help them grow their businesses.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have provided marketing consulting to Deseret Book as well as analytics consulting to independent jewelers outside of my corporate experience which focused primarily on analytics and retail.
