Introduction: My background and expertise are in retail, marketing, strategy, pricing, analytics, statistical testing, finance, and international business. All together I have just under 19 years of professional business experience that I can draw from to help you take your business to the next level. I grew up in the retail jewelry industry helping to run our family's business and gained valuable business acumen at a very young age due to the opportunities that were provided me in my more than 10 years of experience in that business. I have a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Brigham Young University where I emphasized my studies in marketing and strategy. During my graduate studies and in addition to my classes, I was able to gain valuable experience in both marketing and strategy as I worked as an International Marketing Consultant for Deseret Book and an International Strategy Intern at Lands' End. While consulting Deseret Book on whether to expand into a particular foreign market, I and my team conducted in-country focus groups, interviews, and competitive shopping to research the LDS book market and consumer in that foreign market. In addition, I helped develop strategies for market entrance, product mix, pricing, and distribution. As an International Strategy Intern at Lands’ End I was assigned to lead a cross-functional team to redefine an active outerwear brand that had been hastily launched before clearly identifying its target consumer and positioning strategy. As the leader of the team I brought representatives together from merchandising, inventory planning, design, and retail operations to research and analyze key consumer segments, identify our target segment and its estimated annual sales dollar value, and ultimately to develop a multi-functional strategy to successfully refocus our newly launched brand. Senior leaders praised our plan as one of the best intern projects they had ever seen. Because of my well-rounded experience base I am able to provide a holistic perspective to helping you take your business to the next level. I look forward to getting to know you and your business better. The thing that I enjoy most about what I do is helping people find how to solve the problems or meet the needs for which they came seeking my help and seeing them leave happy knowing that they accomplished what they set out to do. For over ten years I worked in sales and management at my family's jewelry store. While there I consistently generated the highest average sales per hour among the part-time salespeople (I was a student for most of my time there). I attribute much of this to my ability to identify what my customers needed and then clearly communicate how our company could fulfill those needs in a mutually beneficial way. I then followed up on the details to make sure that everything came together in the way that I and my customers had planned. My success at fulfilling my customers' needs was highlighted when I was informed that I had received the highest number of unsolicited customer-to-owner compliments for outstanding customer service in more than thirty years of company history.
