Introduction: I believe you can experience freedom from food cravings, bingeing and mental obsessions. I've seen people recover in eating disorder clinics, private coaching and even myself. After my master's at Santa Clara, I now specifically focus on food cravings and mental obsessions related to overeating such as: - binge eating - bulimia - compulsive eating - stress eating I teach people how to be mindful of their thoughts. If you can be mindful of your thoughts then you can catch your thoughts and change them. Changing your thinking is at the root of healing from binge eating and other eating struggles. I can help you do that. In 2018 and 2020 I was awarded the Top Health Professional badge for my Intuitive Eating services to help people with binge eating. My background includes my master's in counseling from Santa Clara University and I am Certified in Intuitive Eating. For some of my work with past clients, you can see numerous success stories on my website, including over four video testimonials. Best of all, I have a unique coaching program that's entirely like nothing you've ever seen before. It's an immersive program based on frequent communication. Frequent communication is often missing in your typical therapy relationships, or your infrequent visits to the doctor. However, by working with a coach I can have a more communicative, professional and healing relationship with you. For example, one video testimonial that you can see on my website shows a woman who had binge eating problems for 40 years. She never had anyone to talk to about her struggles. Working with me, for the first time in her life, she could text someone and ask for help in the middle of a binge. I know this sounds crazy, but that's only because no one else is doing it. But it works. Why? The most critical moment in ending binge eating and overeating and all these crazy thoughts... Is being able to catch yourself right before you binge, and to write out your thoughts on paper so that you can detach yourself from your thoughts. However, this process is nearly impossible in the beginning without getting some in the moment coaching and counseling. That's where I come in. If you've struggled with overeating for a long time then you know another diet isn't going to work. You know that more willpower is not the answer. Definitely recommend Jared and his intuitive eating training because before working with Jared I had lost weight with a personal trainer on a strict diet but regained all the weight. My weight regain caused me to be suspicious and fearful of foods even!! Now I am totally relearning how to think about food by seeing my health as a skill I can improve at rather than a boring plan to follow. The best part about the program is having tons of ways to learn and stay engaged because my biggest challenge has always been motivation. Highly recommend this intuitive eating adventure it will definitely change your life to be much more happy!!!!!

Jared has been working with me for about 6 months now and I have been very pleased with the results! He has transformed my unhealthy way of thinking about dieting into having a healthy relationship with food. For years I had tried countless diets, and while I would lose weight it would only be a short-term fix. I was tired of putting my body through so many crash diets and now that I think of it, I'm pretty sure I was mentally exhausted too. More than anything, I started to give up hope that I could ever be happy when it came to thinking about food. Jared likes to stress that weight loss shouldn't be your primary goal and while at first skeptical, I now wholeheartedly agree! It started with relearning what it meant to be healthy; learning that it takes small improvement over time and simply deciding to make healthier decisions because you want to. When my mentality behind eating changed, weight loss became the result of that change. Eating healthy shouldn't feel like you have a gun to your head lol, but somehow that's what years of dieting had done to me. The biggest change for me was letting go of the guilt around eating. Anytime I would eat something I know I shouldn't I would get upset at myself. After a few weeks of working with Jared I had my first slip-up and was waiting for that slap on the wrist. Surely my personal trainer wouldn't want me to indulge when I am supposed to be eating healthy, right? Wrong! The first thing Jared did was say, "that's completely fine!" This sparked a long discussion about enjoying those moments when I want to have something, whether it be having cake on my birthday or going out with friends for dinner. Overall this helped me making smaller changes over time so that I felt I was bettering myself and eating healthier, but also occasionally enjoying moments where dessert or unhealthy food was involved. More than anything, my changed relationship with food has made me feel happier as a person. I am learning to love my body yet strive for improvement. But that no longer means making myself feel guilty for the weight I'm currently at or beating myself up for days where I don't make the healthiest food choices. When it comes to training sessions at the gym, Jared has introduced me to many new exercises. He's even got me into doing some weight training, which I've found great results with in leaning out and gaining muscle. I had always stayed away from doing weights as I was afraid of bulking up and associated it more with the type of exercise guys do. It was ingrained in my head that women had to do mass amounts of cardio in order to slim down. This was definitely wrong since I am finding lifting weights is way more effective in achieving the results I want! I would be on the treadmill or stair master for up to an hour but little did I know a good 30 min of weights has give me better results. So happy to have found Jared and I'm continuing to work with him so that I can completely transform my body and mind through my journey to a better, healthier self :)

Jared was a great trainer for my boyfriend and I. He came to our apartment complex and we trained in the gym. He was punctual and thoughtful in each of our sessions, helping my boyfriend and I doing exercises that were comfortable yet challenging for both of us. Highly recommended - he is also just wonderful company!

Jared is great! He is fun to work with. I have lost 8 pounds, many inches and feel wonderful. He has a holistic approach and this is what I was looking for. He has a strong background in yoga and I enjoy the mix of strength training, yoga and massages. I highly recommend Jared!!
