Thanks Lara for such a nice review. It was great working with you. You are very talented. Keep it up.
I found Robin by searching for an artist within driving distance who is teaching oil painting. I loved her work, and decided to take lessons. Robin is a very kind and caring person, and such a talented artist. Whether you are a beginner, or more advanced, Robin will teach you the tools and give you the confidence to work on your own. Because of her I am finally painting! I highly recommend Robin RosenthalAug 1, 2017
Painting lessons Robin taught my granddaughter,Mia how to paint and she completed a painting which is now hanging on my wall. She had a lot of funDec 27, 2016Robin R.'s reply
Thank you for your review. Working with Mia was so much fun and she is very talented. I will look forward to seeing more of her paintings in the future.
I was Robin Rosenthal’s first student! Robin, so engaging yet soft spoken, has what it takes to offer encouragement and direction to aspiring painters. She presents in a thoughtful and unintimidating manner, all the knowledge one needs on color theory and design composition. She introduces students to the full range of materials from easels to mediums, with helpful tips on where to purchase them reasonably. She has patience and proceeds at a speed which is comfortable for the student, in a personal environment rather than a large class. Her proficiency as an artist was duly recognized and awarded at the Annual National Juried Art Exhibition in Cooperstown last summer. Robin is also a member of Oakroom Artists, a small, membership by invitation only group. She has developed a style that is recognizable for its crisp, clean lines, purity of color, and contemporary take on simple objects. I love Robin’s style! That is why I chose her as a teacher. Her fees are far too low for the talent she so generously shares!Dec 31, 2016

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I offer adult basic oil painting lessons. The fee is six 3-hour lessons for $275.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Adults can learn the basics of oil painting. If you always wanted to oil paint but were not sure about taking classes or workshops, or if you want individual instruction to move ahead, private lessons will help. We'll start by talking about your goals and level of experience. You'll learn about materials, how to compose a painting, mixing colors and paint application. I'll provide lots of handouts, demonstrations and some exercises you can do at home.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I spent 26 years working one-on-one with individuals as an Occupational Therapist. During that time, I dreamt about painting and when I retired, I learned all I could studying with several wonderful teachers. I've been oil painting since 2004 and am pleased that I have won many awards.
