FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We like to look at every pool 1st. Sometimes we get a pool that is just a tough pool or is very large then we may charge a little more. We want to charge what is fair and the customer will be happy with. All the chemicals are included with the weekly pool service and that makes everyone happy so you always know what the monthly bill will be.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love working with new customers. We talk on the phone then I stop by and take a look at the pool and meet the dogs with some dog treats. We usually start the pool service and find out which gate to use on our routeday. We will make any adjustments to the pool and pool chemistry on the spot so the pool starts looking better right away. Clean the pool and empty all the baskets and traps. Make sure all the equipment is working like it should. Put the pool on a routeday to be serviced. When I come back on the routeday the pool should be sparkling clear and algae free.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The best education that you can get in the pool service business is to work with someone else and have them teach you as you go along. I worked with an old guy named don for years and he was tough but fair. He wanted you to learn everything that you could every time that you were at a pool. He used to say if you show up at a pool and it isn't clear like drinking water then you are doing something wrong. Make it right and make these people want to jump in the pool tonight.
