Introduction: At SAMMA, we don't just teach martial arts. We show you how to be confident, strong, and healthy. We offer a variety of classes (group and private lessons) throughout the week and our instructors are all highly skilled practitioners. We also offer acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, tai chi, qi gong, and tuina. Sifu Daniel Cashman, EAMP, MS(AOM), NCCAOM Dipl. of Acupuncture is a Nationally Board Certified acupuncturist with 30 years of experience in the martial arts, and is the co-owner of Seattle Asian Medicine and Martial Arts (SAMMA). I specialize in using Traditional Chinese Medicine to create balance and wellness. I teach Yang style tai chi and Chun Kuo Kung Fu.

I have been coming to SAMMA for about 4 years now. It is an amazing place full of friendly and knowledgeable doctors, martial artists, and friends. They not only teach and preach health and wellness, but live it as well. And the community of people this business has created is just phenomenal.

SAMMA is the most friendly and welcoming martial arts facility I've been to! The instructors are kind yet challenging and the students are collegial and supportive of one another.

I have been taking Tai Chi classes for about 16 months, and doing the free Saturday morning class for longer than that. (at either Third Place books in the winter, or Virgil Flaim park the other seasons). Dan is wonderful. He's very patient, and great at giving just the piece of feedback that helps me make progress. Tai Chi is not just movements, but also connection to your 'center' and breath. Dan knows tons about how Tai Chi connects to the other martial arts, as well as to Chi Gong and Chinese Mediine. Classes are small (except the free one, which might have 15-30 people in it). And the prices are very good, much lower than most places.

Went for acupuncture. Dan asked good questions, then went to work on my strained hamstring. Combination of needlework and some deep tissue massage is working well. Not finished yet.
