- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am $30 an hour. however if its a huge painting job thats going to be a lengthy period of time I will give a bid.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was always a daddys girl. so I feel I had the best teacher/eduction a girl could ask for. my dad was the best in his field. He never had to advertise word of mouth kept him busy full time year round. My dad truly wad a "jack of all trades and master of all". I love passing on all tips and knowledge he taught me. i ave been a hod carrier for the past three years for a third generation brick layer. He has spent the last fifty years builfing most of the banks, jails, safeways, Mc Donalds, and thete isnt a block in seattle he hasnt built or repairef a chimney on. He truly is the best in the budiness and i was blessed to have been able to work side by side to the best in the budines of masonry. Of course firing off my questions and absorbing all i could about owning a business, employees, maintenance of equipment, how to run a job site efficiently and effortlessly, making work fun not a job, taught me ethics, taught me the meaning your "word" and a hand shake is still as good as a signature. I went to school for a career in the medical field but found myself going back to my tom boy roots always. i love getting my hands in the dirt and nurturing mother natures beauty, i love antiques and home improvements, but most of sll i love a good bargain. i am the queen of finding something for nothing and making it something. one man's junk is my treasure!.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always been a very inquisitive person. I was born to ask questions. My dad was a plumber and jack of ALL trades. therefore whatever project he was working on I was always right next to him asking "why" and "how come". I absorbed it all and have used everytbing he taught me on a daily basis.
