Despite some unavoidable challenges staffing the event, I felt through the entire process that our event was viewed as important and that Amy's Artistic Expressions would deliver. Our artist, Alicia, was fantastic. She arrived on time and was ready to work. She did a great job self advocating for setup to give her and our guests the best experience. All of our guests were thrilled with the quality of their face paintings. As the event coordinator, I felt obligated to get one my self. A beautiful Hibiscus flower! Very manly for a middle aged man who loves gardening and flowers. I would like to note that I specifically appreciated the quality of the paint used. Once the day was over it took only a warm washcloth to remove the work. I was prepared with a Brillo pad to get it off, but was pleasantly surprised. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Our general pricing is currently as follows: $125 per hour for face painting, belly painting and glitter tattoos $150 - $175 per hour for airbrush tattoos $165- $200 per hour for body painting (dependent on project demands) $300 for the first hour of both stage and close up/walk around magic, $150 for each additional hour $ 160-$180 per hour - beauty makeup (dependent on supplies needed and level of difficulty) Ask about pricing - balloon decor, caricature artists, airbrush tattoos, party crafts Certain artists *may* command a slightly higher fee due to expertise, advanced education or experience. Holidays events and our busiest times (i.e. Halloween weekend, Dia de los Muertos) may command a higher cost, as will certain projects with more physical or mental demands. Pricing includes: * Booking time * Artist/entertainer coordination * Design creation related to your theme (up to four designs for face painters) as needed * Kit preparation and disinfecting (as needed) * Travel to and from your location - including tolls * Set up and tear down time * Professional work done by an experienced artist/entertainer, using quality, safe materials * Kit clean up *NOTE: Pricing and the scope of the project will ALWAYS be communicated up front and agreed upon prior to putting together a Client Agreement. * All services have a two hour minimum with the exception of the following: - Magician - 1 hour minimum - Individual face or body painting sessions (generally around Halloween or Dia des los Muertos) *when you come to me* - 30 minutes *NOTE: When a single artist/entertainer is doing multiple services, such as balloon twisting, henna and face painting, the *overall* total time for that artist must be two hours or more* Parking fees: Due to the high cost of parking in some areas and attempting to keep hourly costs lower for our clients, we will require free parking to be provided within a three block radius of the event. If there is no available free parking, you will be required to pay for the artist's parking on site. Travel fees: Depending on where the artist is coming from and how far away your event location is, your artist may need to charge a travel fee for extra time spent en route, extra gas and mileage, additional tolls, and additional personal needs for being on the road that time. We work to keep this reasonable while keeping our artist's needs met. Again, no surprises, this is all discussed up front prior to booking. * NOTE: The majority of events booked at this time DO NOT have a travel fee*
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?We feel it is important to discuss all of the details of the event, what our customer is wanting and needing, what the theme of the event is, and of course discuss pricing up front before any deposit or agreement is addressed. We want to make sure that we are a good fit for your event and ensure that we can do the best job possible for you when we arrive! We strive to build trusting, ongoing relationships with our clients, and reward them with referral discounts when they entrust us with taking great care of their friends and family.
