Introduction: As a doctor of therapy I know what it takes to succeed in school. I have a decade's worth of experience working with students in a variety of settings that have given me insight into different teaching methods. Most recently, I worked as a homeschool teacher for elementary aged children making lessons fun, engaging, and satisfying for the children I worked with. With experience I have learned how best to reach students at their level of understanding to break down topics in ways that are easy for them to understand. In my current degree I have studied the neuroscience of learning and use this knowledge to make our time together as effective as possible. I am an energetic, understanding, and effective tutor and will be with you every step of the way to reach your goals! My speciality is working with students with complex learning needs. My doctorate in occupational therapy has informed my tutoring practice in understanding how to best accommodate disabilities for academic success. In recent years I have supported students with anxiety, OCD, ADHD, and depression reach their learning goals. It is so rewarding working with students watching them grow and expand their ways of thinking. Being a teacher is ingrained into who I am and I absolutely love giving people the skills they need to thrive!
