Great experience, thank youDec 18, 2017
Thoughtful and good direction, helped us figure out the best route for my son and how he does testing well vs what is harder for him. Great writing and college advising especially, thanks Big Dipper Tutoring!Nov 12, 2017

Q & A
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Currently, $40 an hour is my typical price. I may charge more for greater distances of travel or exceptional situations.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? In our first meeting, we will get to know each other. This usually involves my asking you and your student(s) questions about what they're studying, how they feel they are doing, and more importantly, who they are and people and what brings them to life. (If you are an adult student seeking my tutoring and mentorship for yourself, I will take a similar personable approach, albeit with respect to you being an autonomous adult.) I am a passion-based educator, meaning I combine academic tutoring with soulful mentoring that honors, witnesses and supports the student in their process of personal and intellectual development. I will usually offer a brief reflective questionnaire pertaining to this "getting to know you" stage of working together. The questionnaire will be both an opportunity to better understand who you (the student and parents) are and what you need from me, as well as an invitation to self-reflection for your enjoyment.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have been working with kids, adults and families in educational settings for over ten years. I have held a variety of dynamic roles in this time, and I see all of life as my living, breathing, ongoing education! I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English and Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University. I am also a graduate of Wilderness Awareness School's "Anake Outdoor School", an adult training program in youth mentoring, rites-of-passages for life stages, as well as environmental and anthropological education.
