Introduction: I am a mix of a lifestyle and documentary family and wedding photographer. My family sessions are all about you and each one is a unique tailored experience. I work hard to find out and understand what is meaningful for you to capture and how to we can achieve it. I am pretty much open to anything and everything that speaks to you. For weddings I approach things pretty much the same way. I make it a priority to understand your needs and what memories are the most important for you to walk away with and approach the day as such. Its all about you! I believe that every moment deserves to be captured. Every single amazing, emotional, joyful and messy moment. I love the big moments and especially the small moments, and to me real is beautiful. Photography is more than just a click of a button, its truly being able to hold on to those tiny fragments of time forever. As a mother of two small children I love being able have all sorts of tangible memories in the form of photographs. Its a special thing to be able to pass on. I love doing this for other people because I know the value. I LOVE to create photographs that tell a little bit of someones story. Showing individual connections, emotions and love. I am in love images that evoke emotions. I just love my job!

Teri and her husband shot our wedding back in April. I can't believe I haven't written a review until now! We just printed our pictures from our wedding this week and I finally got around to hanging some photos around our house. As I was putting our wedding photos in frames I kept thinking, "Man, these are amazing. I need to let her know I think so" I know what you're thinking, "Doesn't everyone think their wedding photos are amazing?" Well, let me explain. the photos Teri captured of our wedding told a story. They weren't carefully choreographing photos with perfect smiles and void of personality. They were photos of precious moments that could only be captured by a trained eye looking for things people would want to remember about a very important day. She managed to capture my dad kissing me on the cheek through a room full of people, a tear filled exchange between my husband and I and playful moments of our dearest friends. There are a million photographers in this area, a quick search on Yelp will confirm that, but I think you will be hard pressed to find someone as good as Teri. Thanks again Teri!

I typically am a fan of more candid "in the moment" photos. But every once in awhile you just need a good family portrait too. Teri quite honestly has given us the best of BOTH worlds! We keep going back to her because she always makes a typically awkward situation (getting your photos taken) relaxed and fun. We have two little ones that are near impossible to wrangle and somehow she always manages to give us the most incredible photos that capture each of their personalities perfectly. Silly, saucy, pouty, laughing, we get them all! She captures the organic dynamic of our family beautifully. The images are truly more than just beautiful, they are full of emotion and have helped remind us that these are fleeting moments in time that need to be celebrated and documented. We are so grateful that we've found Teri look forward to having her capture our family for years to come. She is simply the BEST!

Teri with Little Louisa Photography takes amazing photographs. I love how she captures her subjects on a variety of levels. Her photos are so rich. Anyone can take pictures, but Teri possesses the rare gift of creating emotional works of art that convey much more. Teri is also extraordinarily thoughtful about her work, and particular about every detail. Teri also takes it upon herself to research and know what her clients want. Every special moment has a beautiful keepsake to go with it. Teri has a way of maneuvering everyone and everything so things get done smoothly. One of her greatest strengths is her ability to work with everyone, children, families, and pregnant moms. I did a photoshoot with Little Louisa a few months ago and it was a terrific experience, I was also thrilled with my photos. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All of my quotes are negotiable and I offer a reduced session rate for referrals as well.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I am truly looking to understand what you want out of your session so its all about communication. Before your session we will spend time chatting about ideas and details so that I can help design the perfect session just for you! I have some guides to help you prepare for your session that I will send. We also find a date that works for us and at that point I send you a contract which reserves the date. I send you an email a week before the shoot to confirm all the details. On the day of the shoot all you have to do is show up and the main goal is that everyone is able to truly enjoy and have fun! From there you get to relax and simply interact with your loved ones. A week after your shoot I send a few teasers and within 2 weeks your online gallery is complete and ready to view. You will receive an email with a link and password to view your files. Once you have a chance to view them I will send you another link to your files to download. The files are yours to print and share till your heart is content!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BFA and an MFA in the fine arts. I have taken several online and in person photography workshops over the years and I try to take a few a year to keep fresh and exposed to new ideas.
