I found EES Services for chimney cleaning on Thumbtack because they had many positive reviews for their services. I have to say that they did not disappoint and all of the very positive reviews on their services was accurate. I was extremely happy with my experience with them.
When I got in contact with Jose, he was very professional and made sure to contact me promptly and to provide several appointment times within a week. They also had very competitive pricing.
They emailed me with a confirmation and also called half an hour before arriving so that I would know more specifically at what time they would arrive. Once they got to my house, he immediately provided me with a professional printout that included their insurance coverage and all of the various services that they provide.
They were really respectful of the space, putting on shoe covers before entering my home. He walked me through the process of what they were going to be doing. He answered any and all of my questions about the frequency of chimney cleaning and when to have them done, etc. He showed me all of the soot that came out, showed me what came up on their video inspection, and explained to me in detail about all of the recommendations he had based on his inspection.
He then told me when he would be going up on the roof to do the external inspection. He wrote up the report while in my driveway, and even apologized for taking so long even though he had clearly written up the detailed report fairly quickly.
Overall, I was so happy with the service, from pricing to promptness to quality of service to explanations and thoroughness of the cleaning and inspection to the professionalism and consideration of the staff.
They were so great and so helpful that I intend on utilizing their services regularly each time I need a chimney cleaning from now on, and maybe also use them for air duct cleaning services as well since we need to do this about once a year but had used another company in the past so that we can get it done all together at the same time. I will definitely use them again and would also definitely recommend them for anyone who wants services on their chimney/fireplace.

I am in the processes of selling my home and in the home inspection report I needed to replace the floor part of a fireplace box. I received a very fast response from Jose on Thumbtack. I had EES install a vent pipe in the guest bathroom. The vent needed to vent out through the roof. EES also conducted a thorough chimney inspection. Jose let me know that I needed to install a damper for my fireplace. Both items were completed in the same day. Jose was polite, punctual, efficient, and thorough. Every detail of the project was analyzed and executed properly plus the price was very reasonable. I will definitely work with them again.

We contacted EES Services to inquire about getting our chimney inspected. We have lived in our house for about ten years, but never once used the fireplace. Through the years, we did have quite a few wasps come in through the chimney and we really had no idea what was potentially living up there. We relayed this to EES and they set up a time to come out and inspect and sweep our chimney.
Jose, the owner, is top notch. Very professional, very prompt, and very knowledgeable. He provided multiple pictures of EVERYTHING (showing inside the chimney and outside the chimney) and gave us options to rectify the fireplace's issues. For what it's worth, there was a small wasp nest up there but since it was early March... no wasps were present.
We thought about our options for a few days and decided to have EES repair the chimney so as to stop water intrusion - this involved constructing a new cement crown and installing a new damper at the top of the chimney. Again, he took pictures of everything and took no shortcuts.
By virtue of our experience, my wife and I highly recommend EES Services and are looking forward to living a wasp-free lifestyle moving forward.
