FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I will either give a bid for a project at a set price but usually charge an hourly rate. $100 flat rate for the first hour and then $40 an hour after, plus product. Most AV companies charge $100 an hour.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After meeting a new customer I will typically do I walk-through to determine what needs to be done, (if it is very basic I might just get information over the phone), and then I will put together an estimate of the project, present it to the client and if they give me the green light I will buy the product needed and proceed to make them happy.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I spent years working with my hands, constructing things, and take pleasure in finishing all of my projects with quality. I am now in my forth year of specializing as a low voltage technician, covering phone systems, basic networking, home theater installation, pre-wires, surveillance systems and home automation. I work with a team of professionals on both residential and commercial projects, but have now started my own side company which is what I offer here.
