Adam Fitch and his team at AMA Landscape Design have completely changed how I feel about the exterior of my home. For the first 8 years of living in our home, the topic of our lawn and "curb appeal" was a sore subject. Our home is on a fairly small lot, so landscaping and maintenance should've required minimal work from the start. However, our property sits on soil that is largely made up of clay and gravel, and the yard itself slopes away from our home. Needless to say, nothing wanted to grow/survive, regardless of which plants or breeds of grass we chose. Year after year, we remained the only home on our street with an eyesore of a yard. That all changed when we started working with Mr. Fitch and his team. After an easy first consultation regarding our needs and budget limitations, the crew at AMA got to work. One year later, I am happy to say that we've got curb appeal, no drainage nightmares after every thunderstorm, and most importantly: I'm thrilled to invite company to our home. I cannot say enough about the professionalism and RESULTS we've had since working with Mr. Fitch. To top it all off, my budget stayed intact and we're already looking forward to new projects with AMA this spring.

WOW! After an extensive search of local landscape design companies (online, google, and even joining Angie's List), we narrowed it down to 2 companies: AMA Landscape Design and one other local business. We called both businesses just to get a feel for what they were like to work with, as well as to inquire about an initial consult/estimate. The first thing that struck me when I called AMA Landscape Design was how professional AND personable Adam Fitch (business owner) was to speak with. Admittedly, I knew very little about Landscape Design and in retrospect, had a very vague idea at best of what I wanted for my home exterior. But Adam was patient and knowledgable enough to guide my wife and me through the process of figuring out what we envisioned for our home. He then created an amazing design plan that made us both happy, AND helped us fine-tune the details to remain within our budget. And so Project "Livingston Home Makeover" began. What impressed me and my wife about Mr. Fitch and his crew was that from beginning to end, EVERY person from AMA who came onto our property during the project was truly respectful (and I mean in speaking to us, never leaving trash or food wrappers to blow around the job site, and working HARD instead of just lazily waiting for their shift to end). Mr. Fitch regularly made sure we were up-to-date on the status of the entire project, including any progress made AND any hurdles/delays encountered along the way. But the very best part was, of course, the completion of the project. We are still just blown away with the home we have today- I actually enjoy coming home and pulling into the driveway, and so proud of our home. Welcoming company into our home used to start with a bit of a cringe until they got up the sidewalk and inside. Not anymore! From the lawn and landscaping, to the hardscaped updates and the overall easy to maintain exterior of our home has been such a blessing. I can't express just how highly I recommend Mr. Fitch and AMA Landscape Design, but we couldn't be happier with our experience. Photos to come!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All prices are based on the type and quantity of work.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After setting an amicable time with the customer, I like to meet and discuss the ideas and expectations the customer has in mind. I have questions that I have developed over the years that I like to ask so I have a better idea of what the customer is looking for. I usually start off with what foundation you want. English tends to be squared where a Western will have more hardscape incorporated. After the initial meeting I put together a plan using the ideas we created.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture from NC State University. I also have my real estate license. I have completed the advanced residential Paver course from ICPI, the leading experts in the country.
