- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
A typical 6 hour wedding would be $600.00 for DJ services. To hire a band for a wedding reception is usually about $200 per man per hour.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically I will field an inquiry from a potential client via email or phone call, and try to assess their needs in regard to the event they are planning. Some of the first questions I will ask would be how many guests does the client expect, so I can be aware of how much sound re-enforcement gear to bring. The more people there are in a room, the more speakers & amplifiers, etc, would be necessary to supply adequate sound levels for the event. I would also ask where the location for the event would be so that we would know in advance travel distances, tolls, meals, etc. I would want to know how many hours the client would like to have entertainment. After we get a good idea of the clients vision and expectations, then we can get closer to determining price and how we can give them the best value for their budget.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a trained vocalist and musician, and a nightclub and wedding DJ of considerable experience. I have been certified by Toastmasters International, and I am a graduate Hilton International management school.
