FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Only when I worked in the corporate gym setting did I have standard pricing. Working for myself, I have the ability to adjust the amount I charge for one on one training. If a client meets me at my gym then that is convenient for me so I charge less. If I train a client in their home then it's convenient for them so I charge more.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After the introductory workout, nothing is typical! In the beginning, I want to know how much you can handle. Later, I want you to know how much you can handle. Much later, neither one of us will believe what you can do!!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from Umass Amherst in 1995 with a degree in Nutrition! I immediately went to work at my boxing gym which I was a member since 1991. I was certified through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) in 1995. The following year I was certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) At this time I began my career in the corporate training world, Large national and or local gyms. I have never lapsed in my Certification in all my years as a trainer. It requires work each and every year to maintain a National level Certification. In addition to my national Certification, I have gained more knowledge through my personal development and practice. Seeing how so many people are in pain each and every day I felt I needed to do more to help. I became certified in FMS but it was not enough. I found a much more intensive and educational Certification. Perfect Postures Level I specializes in the Pelvis, Low Back and Hips. Level II in the Hip, Knee, Ankle and Foot. Level III in the Torso, Scapula and Spine. As of right now I'm Certified to prescribe corrective exercises in all 3 levels. For any additional information on anything described above please ask!
