Alex helped me change my fuddy-duddy home into a tastefully modern yet very comfortable show piece. People usually say upon entering, "Wow, this place is gorgeous! Did you have a professional designer?" And then they ooh and aah as they try sitting on everything. Next they want to know where I found each item. That's easy to answer--Alex Farrell. This probably sounds fake, like someone's Mom writing this, but it isn't and I am not. I am a huge fan of Alex's because he was so easy, fun and highly competent in helping me redo my home. He has real talent for proportions, textures and colors. He explored comparative costs so I always felt I had acceptable options and could go high end or not so high. At times I couldn't imagine how individual pieces would look like with others. That's where working with someone like Alex really pays off. He KNOWS, he reassures, and bingo, it all works. That means no headaches and no regrets. Just the opposite. It was a total pleasure working with him and the results are sensational!

Before moving in to our new condo, we worked with Alex to design our living room, which included a custom, wall- mounted entertainment center as well as sofas and a coffee table. Alex was a pleasure to work with, had great design instincts, and we would highly recommend him to anyone.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My initial consultation fee is $80 after that my hourly rate is $55.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to set up an in home consultation as the 1st step if possible. This visit takes no more than 2 hours and it’s a great way to get to know the client, understand the space and make an action plan for the project.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my degree in Architecture and have trained with experienced interior designers with a focus on contemporary Danish design.
