- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The design packages range from $49-$200. From as simple as a paint consultation, hourly design consultation, staging to sell services, or a simple mood board, there is something for any budget! Full design service is available at an hourly rate of $75.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After your purchase of a design package, you will receive a Client Questionnaire that will give me some insight on your goals. We'll meet for a consultation where we discuss your needs for each space in your home. I will will give you an overall BIG picture design concept for your space. I will provide suggestions for layout, furniture, lighting, color, artwork or anything else you need to know. You can ask me as many questions as you want within your chosen time frame. Have a pen and notepad ready to jot down our conversation so you are prepared to implement the vision for yourself. After the consultation, I will email over my design proposal with Mood Board and Shopping Guide within 10 days. If full design services are need after our initial consultation, there's an hourly rate of $75. Remote Design services are available as well. Clients will email over their completed questionnaire, pictures of the space and inspiration photos that will help me know your design style. The e-Design Consultation will give you an overall BIG picture design concept for your space. I will send you a written formal report that gives you suggestions on floor plan, furniture placement, paint color schemes, accessorizing and anything else you request. Along with the report, I will create a Digital Inspiration Board that will provide a vision for the space as well as a shopping guide for suggested items that will complete the design. Two revisions permitted to your board. Technology has given the design world advances in the ability to offer those recommendations through the internet. Design resources are becoming more accessible for the average homeowner, therefore we are skipping out on designer showrooms and going right to the accessible retail stores. We can provide you with a design proposal, inspiration board, shopping guide with links for purchase, and layout suggestions all remotely! Anyone who is seeking professional design guidance but would like to implement it themselves would benefit from our e-design services. Any design advice after the initial report, a $75 hourly rate will apply.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from Endicott college with a degree in Interior Design. After graduating, I was partial owner of a design firm named Nouveau Interiors. After 8 years in business, I “retired” from design to stay home with my two young girls. I was blessed that I could stay home but I desperately needed a creative outlet. In 2008, I started Magpie Studio + Co. which took off and became my full time job, alongside raising my children. My jewelry business keeps me busy but it was time to get back to my roots of interior design. After many years of consulting for friends and family, I decided it was time to dive back into the design world now that my kids are growing up and I have more time to focus on my career in the not only jewelry but the interior design as well!
