- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I typically quote a basic estate planning package, including a will, durable power of attorney, healthcare power of attorney, and HIPAA authorization together as a package, at $375. I provide a discount for couples with similar plans / documents that hire me to do their estate plan together. I typically draft revocable trusts, also known as living trusts, for $500. In certain situations where clients have a complex array of assets and / or complex needs, the price may be higher. This will be communicated to you upfront before you engage me to draft your estate plan. All packages include free document execution and notarization in my office. Credit cards are accepted, subject to a 2.75% transaction fee.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I provide an free, no-obligation consultation where we discuss your legal issues and concerns. I also explain the purpose behind each document and what you can do to maximize its effectiveness.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Upon graduating from the University of Miami School of Law with honors in 2010, I worked at the largest Michigan based law firm, where I trained under some of the best lawyers in the state. After working there for over four years, I founded Scott F. Roberts Law, PLC. My mission is to bring the type of zealous representation usually reserved only for the extremely wealthy to all Michigan residents.
