Introduction: I really like mashing up different genres of music to uniquely please different music tastes. I also use an online database of music which lets me search the internet and play songs you never thought you would hear again. Unlike alot of DJs, I actually fulfil song requests. I also have a smaller 500 song collection of Karaoke, but upon request I also use an online service containing WAY more content than I have on hard copy, and updates monthly so I always have something new! Ive always loved music, most kinds. So when I DJ I get to play the songs that I like but cant admit to my friends. I also REALLY like the facial expressions I see when I fulfil a request for an obscure song, but nothing beats the high you get from packing a dancefloor.

He was the DJ for my birthday party this year. We had about 50 people and he catered to everyone's likes. He took requests and kept us dancing until they kicked us out. Really nice guy and easy to talk to. He had some pretty sweet mixes of my old favorites and collaborated with me on my playlist before the party. Thanks, SteevR!!! I'll be calling you for next year's party!!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Ive been teaching myself how to play music since I got a drum set when I was 10. Its been a loving relationship since then filled with creating songs within many genres.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
In my high school days I always loved playing in punk rock bands. I have kids now so there is no time to meet up for band practice. With my growing love for most music genres (particularly EDM) I realized DJing and producing my own electronic music might be the best option for me because I'm not only a House DJ, a Hip Hop DJ or a Top 40 DJ. I'll play and enjoy most styles.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I currently DJ at Castaways Bar on Boston St in Baltimore. Since I take requests I've played sets with everything from Ambient Electronic to Heavy Metal. Breaking out the 90s Dance and Pop music has been a hit lately
