Introduction: Although I am a new provider to Thumbtack I certainly am not new to the business. I am an (insured) certified journeyman electrician with 25 yrs. experience doing electrical work having received my certification through the Assoc. of Builders and Contractors. I have worked for some of the biggest names in the industry in the mid-state. I want to bring my knowledge of electrical work into your home specializing in minor service work and repair along with troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical issues. I believe you will find my prices to be more than fair as I do not charge a mark up on material so the customer pays what I pay on any material needed to perform the work. This means you, the customer, only pays for labor minus material cost. There are also no show up fees and I offer a lifetime warranty on all my installation. That's right, any problems or issues directly related to installation and not equipment or material and is performed by regular specifications I will replace free of charge. Having worked for some of the top notch companies in the industry and also having been a business owner myself I am an extremely professional and dependable individual so if you will allow me to service your electrical needs I am sure you will find that you have made the right decision in choosing Stone Electrical Services. Cannot say enough good things about Shawn. My first time using Thumbtack and original contractor was late, so I had to call to find out he was on another job, and then called back later to say he couldn't get here until next week. Contacted Shawn at Stone Electric, who rearranged his schedule to help me get the work completed in advance of a party we were hosting. Showed up early, completed all work (1 ceiling fan, 6 digital fan timers, 6 dimmers), walked me through the entire installation, and told me to call if anything ever happens. Very reasonably priced and one of the most professional contractors I have ever worked with, and I have been in the construction management business for over 25 years. Have already recommended him to multiple friends. Thank you Shawn!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I never charge a mark up on material used for the job so the customer is paying the same cost. I also do not charge a fee for just for showing up like a lot of other companies do. My prices are either a flat rate or by the hour on troubleshooting and diagnosing.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Aside from being a professional and dependable individual I like to keep the customer involved in what I am doing and I try to educate them as much as possible so they can have a more enlightened and informative view of what is being done.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Along with 25 yrs. of experience in doing electrical work I am also a certified journeyman electrician having received my certification through the Assoc. of Builders and Contractors four yr. electrical training program.
