FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Lessons are $20 an hour.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
At first, I converse with the new customer either over the phone or via email, and figure out what it is they want to focus on in tutoring. The first meeting is a free consultation, in which I look at any writing samples brought by the student, and/ or give a short multiple choice assessment to determine their level in different concepts of English. After discovering their strengths and weaknesses in the subject, I am able to start creating tailored lessons that build on the foundation of their already established skills and passion.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been attending both Lonestar College and Houston Baptist University since I was a high school Freshman. In May of 2017, I graduated high school with my Associates degree after more than four years of immersion in the classical Great Books curriculum. A formerly heavy load of University classes has helped hone my paper writing skills, but I also create stories in my free time. Though I have only been tutoring for a short time, my business has grown quickly, and I have several students of varying levels. I also have experience as an art teacher in the home school community.
