FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Usually I charge $35 an hour on average. For painting jobs, I like to bid by the room. The more I know about what a costumer wants the better I can offer an accurate bid. I love it when prospective clients go into detail in their Thumbtack request and include pictures. It really helps me in my attempt to bid in a manner that is fair to both the client and myself.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to ask questions so I can make sure to give the client exactly what they are looking for. When bidding a prospective job, I try to bid as quickly as possible and if hired maintain clear communication until the job is completed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started painting professionally when I was in college in 1990. My first wood shop class was way back when I was in 7th grade. I've worked construction in my high school and college days, and worked for a cabinet maker for a few years as well. I love working with my hands, and learned a ton from my dad as a kid watching him work around the house and asking a lot of questions.
