- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is by session style and each session style has 3-4 package options. All packages include digital images (print release only and web release files) and prints. I focus on being a full service photography, and on prints and art so that I know it's on display in client's homes so their memories can be seen all the time.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Example (possible client) hello, my name is Jan and I am looking to get my families pictures taken. (me) wonderful & hello Jan! I have 3 packages for family sessions, they start at $ and go to $$$$, would like me to send you the information for a Family sessions so you can look it over and get back to me on scheduling your session? (Jan) yes thank you my address is: 123 USA st pierz, mn 56364 I mail out the information and wait a week to see if I hear back from (Jan) if not, I will message (or call, depends on the contact information besides address I have from when "Jan" contacted me) and if "Jan" does not respond, they must have went another route. Not every (possible client) is the right fit for any photographer and not every photographer is the right fit for every client.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been taking pictures as a hobby and as favors to family and friends for 10+ years. It was 2013 that I started gearing myself towards operating as a structured business, with specific packages, contracts, etc. It was also in 2012-2013 that I did an at home course in Photography through Stratford Career Institute as well as an at home course in Wedding and Event Planning through U.S. Career Institute. Besides the 10+ years of trial, error, learning, experience and 2 at home school courses. I also am always watching or reading something new to implement in my business. From learning about the image copyright aspect, to the legal parts of photography and the marketing and business sides, the information to learn and grow a business with is never ending, especially for me, since I want to offer my clients the best that I can offer while protecting my clients and my business.
