Hi my name is Alaina - I am a certified holistic health coach and vegetarian chef. My work is based on bio-individuality and working with each client to understand what small adjustments to their diet and lifestyle will have to the biggest impact for them specifically. There is no one right way of eating for everyone but together, we can find the optimal one right way for you. I also believe it's important to look at other areas of your life and how they could be impacting your overall health and happiness. After working with Alaina I have been able to completely change my relationship with food and gain a new outlook on life. The most important thing that I have learned is that food can be a source of happiness. Food can be an emotional thing for a lot of people. And for me, I was using it as a coping mechanism; both in ways of over-eating during stressful periods at work, or as a control tactic, depriving my body of the fuel it needed when my relationships weren’t working out how I wanted them to. I worked with Alaina at these times to help understand my relationship to food and the effect it was having on the rest of my life, not just my body. When I was able to understand that food is a life source and what we put in effects everything coming out, it was easy for me to want to try new things and make changes.

Alaina is a breath of fresh air. She communicated frequently and with great detail. She was enthusiastic throughout the entire experience and offered lots of alternatives when something didn't work for my palate. I highly recommend her.

Alaina personalized the menu to our tastes. We learned a lot more about plant-based protein sources and new ideas for desserts and breakfasts. We left with enough delicious leftovers for lunches & dinners for the next few days, along with the detailed recipes. We repeated the recipes within the first week. Alaina also followed up with additional information about our questions involving cholesterol after our cooking lesson. We definitely recommend her classes for healthy, tasty meals.
