FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is very simple and easy to understand and usually, there are two pricing options depending on the type of project. First, there is the Time and Material (T&M) rate which means hourly wage and material cost, ie. Lets say a room needs to be painted, the client would buy all the materials (either one of us could pick them up) needed and I would display my hourly rate in the initial proposal, the client just pays for the hours I'm there, just please keep in mind most jobs do have a minimum show up time generally its 2 hrs. or less but you will be notified of the proposal in full detail of all rate info. The other option is whats known as a flat rate this cost includes the estimated labor hours and the cost of materials to complete the job all bundled in one easy number to see for the total cost of the project from start to finish. Please keep in mind though without physically seeing certain projects it can be hard to give exact estimates, in those situations it would be my best guess (estimate) based on the limited info I have from Thumbtack once I'm hired and on scene I can then better assess the cost which will sometimes lower the initial bid proposal or sometimes in rare situations slightly increase it, but please do not worry as we will be in discussions the whole time to figure the best solutions. There is a 45 day 100% guarantee on all the work I do and any materials I purchase and use. I have been using a referral program for years which has been successful, and It's very simple and easy, all you have to do is tell a friend family member or the person walking down the street how satisfied you were with my service and that you highly suggest they work with me, once I receive that call text or email and we end up doing a project together. You will be gifted an Amazon gift card to have a little online shopping fun!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
In my experience every potential client has different needs and wants, it has served me for the best to always establish communication as the most important part of the process, starting with the initial warm introduction and bid proposal from Thumbtack. If all things are agreed I prefer to meet with my clients and get the best sense of what their vision is, it is very important and which I take extremely seriously that I have an opportunity to listen to hear and see what the view is for the project outcome, at which point I will take notes pictures and measurements (if necessary). Moving on to the work phase I always keep my clients in the loop by actually showing them and discussing with them my process of steps, it helps to get their feedback and approval so that we are all on the same page at all times. Once things wrap up we will do a final walk thru together and more often then not I prevail on the thumbs up and get a smile signaling satisfactory results, we can then shake hands and part as new business partners. After a few days have passed I will touch base and see how things are progressing and reiterate my gratitude for the business because after all, they could have chosen anyone but they picked me!
