FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process for working with a new customer is to understand and identify why they are moving. I sit down with my clients to do an interview to find out what their wishes and must haves are in a home and also understand their motivation for selling a home. If I am working with an investor, then I seek to understand his or her financial goals. Real estate transactions are all about trust. I match my actions with my words to create a long lasting, trusting relationship.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am licensed as a Realtor in the state of Texas. I also have a Masters Degree in Social Work and was licensed as a Clinical Social Worker. My skills as a Social Worker translate very easily into Real Estate. Moving is in the top 10 life stressors.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My husband and I went through a very stressful new construction build job on our very first home that took over a year to complete. During that time, our builder got bought out by another builder and then changed again. We dealt with multiple sales people and went to 3 design centers to pick out selections on our very first home. We thought we would live in that home forever, but then we ended up getting relocated in less than a year to another city. This whole experience made me realize that I love real estate and all the excitement that comes with it.
