- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard pricing is $350 + tax with that you get a comprehensive inspection of all the systems of your home. HVAC, roof, structure, electrical, foundation and plumbing in addition you will receive up to 6 thermal images of the home (for energy efficiency), if requested before the inspection. Radon testing is an additional $125. Veterans and first time home owners get a $50 discount. Thermal Imaging-stand alone is $125 for residential clients and $300 + for commercial buildings.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically I receive a call from the client. I give them information about the home inspection (comprehensive inspection of all their new home systems) I answer any questions and provide more information. Either they tell me they will get back to me-or they schedule the appointment for a home inspection. I send an electronic copy of the contract via email, once it is signed, the appointment is confirmed. I meet with the client and real estate agent at the site of the home, I go over a few things and require payment before the inspection. I inspect the property. When the inspection is complete, I electronically deliver the results within 4 hours. I can print a summary on site if the client requests one. Most of my clients know the results before I leave the site, as I show them the home through my eyes and give them details from the inspection.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 2 major certifications, AHIT and InterNACHI. I have job shadowed with an inspector, and one of my certifications is a hands on course. I have many specialized certifications as well. I am licensed through the state of Wisconsin, and I have inspected many, many, homes in Wisconsin.
