Quoted 5K to install laminate floor, carpet disposal and bb detach/reattach with hole caulking. This quote was not only 2-3x higher, it was the highest quote I received. However, if you hire or have this dude come to your house for an estimate BEWARE! I woke up to phone calls and text messages about removing my review (I have PROOF). He said "I will keep calling you and calling you till this review is removed". Then he said "This will all be resolved once you remove your review". This guy threatened harassment. I told him I'm not removing the review. He said to keep calling me is his only option as he is not the type of person to show up at my house. What??? Then he called me a name. I do not take this type of behavior lightly, especially now a days. I contacted the police and will follow through in filing a report.Apr 30, 2018VerifiedSteven R.'s reply
Mitchell. I'm so sorry you misunderstood the mistake in our correspondence. I mistook you for another customer which you refused to address in your review (despite the fact we only talked for Las than 10 minutes). I originally bid your project for 3300. 2-400 more than your previous contractor. this being because you were rushing the project and I already had 2 projects going. a 3 bathroom remodel project and a whole hole retexture and repaint. again I'm sorry I sent you a quote that was meant for another customer. and because my family depends on me providing and my 1 year old son needs me to produce for our family your misconstrued review required immediate action. I never intended to threaten you, seems overly dramatic since your review was unfounded to begin with. I hope your project went well and that you are in better health. take care of yourself. regards. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? Our pricing is fair, our value is outstanding.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Ideally we meet with the customer to go over the project. Typically we ask detailed questions to hone in on the NEED of the customer. Our goal is upmost satisfaction while maintaining the budget of the project
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?My professional experience extends from countless home remodels to commercial cafes. 10+ in the trades allowed for a firm grasp in EACH field of construction. I started with sheetrock, tape and texture then quickly progressed into fields such as framing, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and flooring. Ultimately leading to general contracting license.
