Introduction: Good Afternoon
Thank you so much for inquiring. First off, let me say congratulations on so many levels - your engagement, your upcoming wedding & deciding on the when/where of your weddiing.
Please note I don't always respond to Thumbtack requests due to the high cost of getting basic information from Thumbtack. please feel free to to visit my website - Marry Me In Duluth - and use the contact form there.
I would love to hear more about what you would like your wedding to be. Are you looking for something simple, but heartfelt? Or just not sure? We can help with that. Are you looking for more of a "repeat after me" or want to add your own twist? Most weddings are between 9 and 18 minutes in length. It really depends on what the couple would like to have in it.
Just to let you know, the state of Minnesota no longer has a waiting period for your marriage license. This means that you can get your license the same day that you apply for it. Please remember that on holidays and weekends the courthouse is closed and wedding licenses will not be available. As long as the courts are open, you can get your license. You do not have to get a wedding license from the county in which you want to get married in. You can go to your local county office (in Minnesota) and get it there. The license itself is good for 6 months. I do recommend that couples wait until closer to their marriage date to get the license.
In case you were not aware, Marry Me In Duluth is a preferred vendor for Glenshen Mansion, Greysolon Ballroom and Fitger's Boat Club (Fitger's Complex), Grand Superior Lodge, Larmont Cottages as well. We also won Best of Weddings 2018 from the website "The Knot" and won it for 2019 as well! We are pretty excited about that as well. We are pretty confident that we will also win for 2020.
I would love to talk to you about your wedding further. Please let me know if you would like to do that. I have no problem with phone, SKype or G-Chat. Thank you again for inquiring.
Sincerely
Annette Lahr
