- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing for a single family General Inspection starts at $330.00. Large homes, multi family, and additional services please contact me for pricing. The typical General Inspection for a 1200 sq ft house with no garage plus a Radon test costs about $330 + $140. Weatherization Inspections cost $250.00. Please call or see the website for more info.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My customers are either preparing to buy or sell a home, or are seeking energy saving retrofit recommendations based on my Weatherization Inspection. Some want stand alone services like a Radon, Carbon Monoxide or Water Quality testing. We discuss their needs and I prepare a pre Inspection Agreement which specifies the cost and scope of the Inspection. The Inspection Report is in the Checklist format with detailed comments where needed. Items of concern are highlighted for easy and quick identification. An overview/ summary page is provided for convenience. The Report is emailed as a pdf file. Clients can attend the Inspection or come later, as they prefer.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have done construction and remodeling work for many years. I'm a licensed NYS Home Inspector with certifications from the International Assoc. of Home Inspectors, the Building Performance Institute, and training (from NYSWDA) in Thermal Imaging for Weatherization Professionals.
