Harpist Lauren Grace

Lauren was able to accommodate a last minute request to play at my son's rehearsal dinner, when the musician we had hired had a medical emergency. As it turned out, I was SO much happier with Lauren and her harp than I would have been with a Jazz band - she provided the perfect accompaniment to an intimate gathering of close friends and family of the bride and groom. She plays beautifully, and I highly recommend her!Jun 27, 2018Verified
She played lovely music and was a great addition to our holiday party. She was on time and very professional.Jan 19, 2018
All of the above. During our warmup time and making up, etc, she was heard practicing her part in an adjoining dressing room. She did a flawless job in an intricate and intimate score (The Fantasticks), with only a piano and a percussionist combined with the harp. She was placed at the edge of the stage in full view of the audience, and added a touch of visual elegance to the entire show. D LockeNov 22, 2017

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My pricing varies on the event and the length of service. I offer promotions for weddings and special events, depending on what will be needed.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I have a variety of music available to play, including Classical, Pop and Jazz standards. I like to work closely with my clients to ensure that they will hear music that they are sure to enjoy. For other events, such as weddings and birthday parties, I will take requests for specific songs given advance notice to prepare, so that the performance is more personal and special to them.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have been playing the harp since I was a little girl and I have never wanted to do anything else. As a teenager, I often performed with orchestras in the Southern US and performed for weddings. I received my Master's degree in Harp Performance in 2017 from the University of Washington and I have since performed with many groups such as the Sound Ensemble and Northwest Philharmonia. I also continue to perform for a variety of venues, including wine rooms, birthday parties, private events and dinners.
