When I bought my home it was a wreck. I got many estimates for what I wanted not only did Jne beat them on price, the work is awesome and completed a head of schedule. Would hire and did hire for more projects. Great company and great work.

Hired on Thumbtack

They were the first to respond to my thumbtack service request to fix my water heater by text on a Sunday and quoted a reasonable price of $100, so I elected to use them. He said he couldn't make it until Tuesday, so I said OK. I took time off from work (paid vacation) to meet him at my house, and he didn't arrive on time, so I called him and he couldn't make it (due to broken down truck, so understandable). We rescheduled for the next morning, and so my wife had to get up much earlier than usual to facilitate. Guess what? Cancelled again, because he couldn't find the part. At this point, I haven't had a warm shower in 4 days and I am starting to regret my decision to go with jnerestorations. I ask him if he can make it out later that same day instead, and he can't during a reasonable time and when I complained, he said that "I have to fit these small jobs in around my other stuff", which translates to me something like "it's not important enough for me to take it seriously." So I am thinking, well why the hell did he take the job in the first place. But, I don't want to ask someone else because I might start the whole waiting game over, so I agree that the next day he can come. Which he does. But it wasn't the problem we thought it would be (thermocouple) which is also understandable. But he wants to throw more parts at it and get a valve control assembly or something like that. Quotes my wife an additional $45 for the part. So my wife is doing the math and comparing the total to the cost of a new water heater and agrees. He doesn't have that part either, so has to run to the store and get it, which takes another hour. Which he charges us for that time - that wasn't clear to my wife. By the end of the episode, he had billed us $312 and hadn't fixed a thing. It still didn't work. So this contractors solution was to 1) throw parts at the problem 2) give bad advice and misquote pricing to my wife to throw more parts at the problem and then do that 3) over charge us for the time to go get those parts and still not fix the problem. After he left, we ended up buying a new water heater and having someone else install it, which is what we would have done up front if my wife had realized that the bill for time + parts was going to be near the cost of a water heater. That combined with the cancellations and lack of taking the job seriously is unacceptable. I could have had someone else at their much earlier with more business integrity. I would never recommend this business to take care of a problem you are having.

mike we did recomend. that you change the hot water heater your wife called you then she said no repair it, we finally located the part but it was all one piece at over 100 dollars i called your wife informed her of the price she said no problem when i returned i informed her that it wS a 50/50 chamce on that being the problem on that type of unit.i had to go track down the part so for tome and labor i was very fair i would appteciate a revision on the whole job i had 2 employees with me and they were in shock as they know how thorough i am in business thank you for your time.
